| Current region free dvd had broken, searched internet and found this one. It was simple to make region free following the instructions from other reviews. Playback and picture quality is good, along with volume and sound quality and I am quite happy with it. It's down sides are, it is far too large, double the size of my previous dvd player and will not fit the space, having to stand on the floor!!!, also as others have commented, it can be noisy when changing tracks. The biggest bugbare is the remote control, it is vague and indecisive, you need to push the buttons sometimes 2 or 3 times to get it to respond even if you are making sure it is pointing directly at the sensor! and the buttons and in particular the written function on them are "tiny", useless for large or arthritic fingers and people with bad eyesight! But on the whole it is working without any problems and is good for the price. |

Superb looking DVD player, slim design and lightweight. Thanks to the review on here I was able to set the region to 0 so I can play all my region 1 movies without the disc skipping (my old player was pretty ancient!)
I have 2 gripes tho...firstly, it doesn't appear to have any memory at all when it comes to playback. I work nightshift and I like to watch part of a movie before I go to bed. I watched some of Twilight the other day, switched it off and thought nothing of it. When I tried to resume the movie the disc just starts straight back from the initial disc load-up. Very irritating. I have since tried just stopping the DVD without putting on 'stand-by' but the machine switches itself off after a while anyway.
Another minor moan was the lack of display on the actual machine. To see how far into a movie I am, you have to bring up the display on screen. Not a major downfall.
On the plus side, picture and sound quality are fantastic from such a bargain player. |

| This Multi Region DVD player is absolutely brilliant. I bought it as my Blue Ray Player was not multi region and I could not play several movies I had bought from America. When I took it out of the box, it was easy to set up and I was playing region 2 DVD's immediately. It is simple to use and the picture is excellent. Extremely simple to work. I cannot recommend this product highly enough. |
