Panasonic Blue Ray Disc Player - DMP-BD60: Rating: 4/5
Easy to set up with excellent picture quality. A bit slow to start up after insertion of disc.
Fantastic Value: Rating: 4/5
This is a great player with amazing picture quality and sound. We had a slight problem with the original item sent to us but Amazon's fantastic customer service rectified this immediately. It is very , very easy to set up although the disc loading time is a little on the slow side but this does not really bother me. I would heartily reccomend this player as it sits under the tv looking rather sleek. The 'extras' are pretty good too, with a usb port and sdhc card slot. I would have loved for this be multi region (near impossible or very expensive to make Panasonics multi region). Again, this is a minor gripe.
On the whole, I would reccomend this player. |

Perfect: Rating: 5/5
As I already have a Panasonic Viera 37" HD Ready Flat Screen TV and a Panasonic Home Cinema System with a DVD Player built-in, my main reason for buying this machine is so that I could watch my HD AVCHD Videos recordeded with my Panasonic HD Camera via the SDHC Card Slot. It does this perfectly, even videos that have been edited on your PC first. However, you do need a piece of software called "multiAVCHD" to get the edited footage from your PC back onto an SDHC Card and/or DVD + or - R Discs and/or BD-R Discs. Have since invested in a Blu-Ray Burner for my PC and it plays home-made Blu-Ray Discs perfectly. Being able to watch a few Blu-Ray Movies (which it does perfectly) is just a bonus for me. Only downside is that it only has one Audio Out option and that is Optical. So had to invest in an Optical Switch so get the audio from this player into my Pansonic Home Cinema System, which only has one Optical Input. Really can't complain at this price as it does what it says on the tin.
