| After reading many reviews and spending weeks deciding I went with the G10...... What can I say?... OUTSTANDING! Value for money, quality picture you name it, it's got it!Connected to sky HD was a doddle. Bought the Panasonic BD60EB blu-ray player as well (recommended by Which magazine). Everything easy to set up and install. Documentaries are fantastic the HD quality superb. If you want a blu-ray HD package for under £800 this is it! |

I purchased this TV set from another site and thought I would share my experience with anyone wanting to buy a new TV.
This review is based on my personal experience and what I was looking for in a TV.
First of all I upgraded from a Samsung 26" LCD HD ready TV (which was not full HD but 720p ready) which instantly made a huge difference in size. The build quality of this Panasonic TV feels quite solid. The TV itself was easy to set up and tweak to my preferred settings. I am currently using the free-view channels on this set and I can confirm that I am getting a very decent and clear picture quality (even though it's not in HD). I haven't tried the free sat option or any of the HD channels as I don't have the means to do so yet. The sound on this TV set is fantastic, loud and clear, you also have an option to tweak the settings for the sound.
I understand that this TV is really made to view HD channels in order for anyone to get it's full potential, but don't let that hold you back. If you will be watching HD movies on blu-ray or any other way i.e. avi files etc... then this TV will give you pixel for pixel. I have watched many movies in full HD on this TV set and the picture quality is crystal crispy clear. It makes you feel like your watching the damn thing in 3d.
And for the gaming people out there, this is one of the main reasons why I purchased this TV so I could hook it up to my PS3 & 360. What can I say? From a 26" HD ready to a 37" Full HD 1080p you will start living within your games. You will feel your games, you will touch your games, you will be a part of your games. This TV really gives you vibrant & true life like colors, the black is also very deep which makes character faces stand out more like 3d viewing. I was recently playing mass effect 2 on this set and OH MY GOD! I tell you the picture quality was AMAZING. For the curious gamers out there, yes this set has a gaming mode too.
Even though the Standard Definition viewing is no where near when compared to the High Definition, but I still believe that this TV is a good all rounder when it comes to HD blu-ray, HD gaming and not to forget the sound quality is excellent too, you won't be disappointing with your purchase.
For me this TV is outstanding 10/10 |
| Superb HD - TV.: Rating: 5/5 |
I bought my set in July 2009, so have had nearly 9 months of use.
I can report that the set is simply superb. Picture quality is excellent.
Great colours, great appearance and the Freesat HD channels, BBC-HD and ITV-HD (Freesat dish is an extra!) are brilliant, although choice is limited at the moment.
Can't fault the set on any points. The 37" screen is ideal for any average living room.
I've rigged up a 'PS3' for HD online gaming and 'Play TV' for recording digital TV, and also play my audio output through two 'Wharfedale' speakers, so the digital radio channels provide 'almost' CD quality output.
All in all, 11/10 .... !!!! |
